Inspired by the the trailblazers in corporate culture like Southwest Airlines and Google, AdRizer rose out of a small city on the gulf coast of Sarasota, Florida with an attitude and initiative that has driven its founders and employees to cultivate a corporate culture that is on par with some of the most highly regarded companies in the world. With an emphasis on creating a family style work environment, AdRizer enters its fifth year focused on its employees more than ever. Poised to continue its mission to cultivate a workforce that centers on empowerment and positive work-life balance, the tech company has created a sanctuary for young professionals in a region that is just beginning to tap into its budding entrepreneurial culture.
The driven, millennial, conquer-the-world mentality is something that is ever present within the walls of AdRizer. Nestled in the heart of a sleepy, art-centric beach town, we don’t have the luxury of piggy-backing off of other “similar” companies nearby for ways to keep our employees stimulated and motivated. To do that, we’ve built a strong internal culture to support the young professional minds at AdRizer, which involves implementing a variety of creative (and sometimes rather unconventional) methods to keep the energy levels up and the ideas flowing. Things like communal electric skateboards to get around downtown, in-office haircuts, lunchtime ping-pong tournaments, and regular bi-weekly Dungeons & Dragons sessions are just a few of the oddball activities that make up our corporate culture.

The work environment at AdRizer goes further than just the stimulating office perks, however. The employees are more than just co-workers and like-minded professionals — we’re family. Every so often you’ll walk into the kitchen area and find yourself drawn into a deep personal conversation with a colleague that ends with plans for a weekend out on the town and a whole new friendship in the making. We celebrate each other’s personal accomplishments and mourn each other’s losses. We’ve had office-wide baby showers, engagement parties and birthday dinners, and we’ve even gone to funerals for family members of employees. When you can relate to your co-workers on such personal levels, there’s no ground that can’t be covered professionally, no idea that can’t be broached.
As we’ve continued to grow and diversify, we’ve also placed a heavier focus on a positive work-life balance for our employees. In addition to offering opportunities for reimbursement on continuing education courses, we also give our employees the option of taking home an HD computer monitor and workstation setup so that they can work comfortably from home if needed. Because we know that life happens, employees also have unlimited paid time off each year, which we’ve found boosts productivity and focus, and improves overall satisfaction. The secret lies within our open-door policy which serves as a figurative “suggestion box” that is always open to new ideas for how to create a workplace more conducive to creativity, collaboration, and wellness.
It’s true that here at AdRizer we are a bit “extra,” but when you work for a company whose leaders and employees envision limitless possibilities for growth and innovation, almost anything can — and does — become inspiration. In our office, no idea is stupid, nothing is impossible, and you would be hard-pressed to go a single work day without either having or witnessing a game-changing idea to take the company to a whole new level of success and innovation. It’s nothing short of revolutionary.
